  I attended to Transform your mind, Transform your life workshop in October 2023 at a point in my life I was really struggling to find the right balance and struggling mentally. This was having a huge impact on my work, home life and general happiness. I felt I was unable to cope with my work, as well as be a good mum, friend and wife leading to an overwhelming feeling that I was letting everyone down, further adding to my stress. The course made me realise what my priorities should be and that I was spreading myself way to thin. After the course I re-evaluated my whole life and made some big changes. I am now much happier, more confident and more productive. I have even managed to find the time to set myself goals that will help with my own mental wellbeing – London Marathon 2024 here I come! 

 Piyus’s charismatic and personable style has been highly effective in breaking down barriers and facing challenges head on. He has been a key player in establishing an Eye Care Communication and Education Forum and bringing together primary and secondary care providers for CPD events that have been highly commended by all involved. Furthermore, a recent CPD about the implementation of EERS has resulted in regional commendation for effective engagement of the Northamptonshire optom community and request for similar models elsewhere. All this has resulted in an increase in trust and collaboration which is evident as part of current work developing a countywide strategy for eyecare. Piyus is a key stakeholder actively challenging old ways of thinking ad championing new ways of working that better employ the valuable skills of primary care optometrists.
